History:
Founded in 1956 by Rdr Evphimiy Shishkoff, a Russian immigrant.Original wood-and-fibro church building was constructed by Rdr Evphimiy and his son, in their spare time, and was consecrated by Bp Savva (Raevskiy). This building still stands on parish grounds.The parish grew steadily, and outgrew its original temple. It was decided to build a larger temple to accommodate the parish's numbers. Planning and construction began in the 1980s, and consecration occurred in the 1990s.
