History:
St. Moses the Black Orthodox Church is one of two (the other being St. Timothy Orthodox Church located in Kingston) Orthodox communities already established on the island by the Jamaican Orthodox Mission (JOM), which is under the jurisdiction of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR) - Moscow Patriarchate (MP).On August 9, 2019, the JOM initiated its second local parish church in Discovery Bay (St. Ann), but on October 9, 2019, this community was formally established in Falmouth (Trelawny).
